Today we arrive in Yucatan Progresso. Our schedule was kind of jumbled up because of the medical emergency on our first day. Now, the three amigos didn’t do any shore excursions. Personally, I’ve swam with the dolphins and they can’t get a little too ‘friendly’ if you get my drift. And, I’ve been to the Mayan ruins and if you’ve read any of my previous blogs you know, Holly doesn’t like stairs! And the stairs at the ruins are a bitch! So, NO! NO RUINS! So after the mass exodus to get a shore, the three amigos leisurely wandered off the ship and hit all the little shops at the port. We all found some pretty cool things but Jordan couldn’t quite get the hang of bargaining down the prices. He tried, bless his heart. Now, the big thing that happened today is……….. after much liquid refreshment I finally got Jordan inked! Yes! Now, before y’all start rolling your eyes and thinking of nasty things to yell at me I have to tell you………it’s temporary! Henna! So I didn’t talk him into defiling his body! But, he has decided that he likes it so much he wants to get a permanent tattoo when we get home. We’ll see. So, after we get all of our souvenirs we head back to our little home away from home. Finally found Guys burgers on board and they were pretty good. Afterwards we head to the deck to get a little more sun and refreshments! Hey, bartering can be exhausting! Now, yours truly had to stay partly in the shade because I got a little too much sun the first day. But the rest of my crew baked to a glorious crunchy brown. Now, so far we haven’t been too impressed with the dining room so we decided to hit some of the hundreds of buffets around the ship and hit the casino once again to see if my luck holds out. And of course, it didn’t! The nasty card dealers took their money back with syrupy little smiles on their faces. Now, Jordan had some luck at the slot machines! He’s learning how truly addictive gambling can be! He’s regularly been winning 20-60 dollars when he hits the machines! Sorry, Jordan! Wow! Now that I look back, this has been a life changing experience for Jordan! A tattoo and a gambling habit, next thing you know hell get his hair braided!
All in all, a pretty easy day.
This makes me nervous!
